The Cambodia’s Longest Tsubasa Bridge Inaugurated
Neak Leang, Cambodia – Tsubasa Bridge or Neak Leung Bridge, was inaugurated on April 06, 2015. The bridge connects two provinces Kandal and Preveng. It is 61 kilometers southeast of Phnom Penh.
Tsubasa is 2,200 meters long, 12.5 meters wide and 37.5 meters above from the water during rainy season. It is the first cable-stayed and the longest bridge in Cambodia.
Started constructing on 12 Feb., 2011 at a cost of USD127 million, Tsubasa is the third bridge built in Japanese grant after the Cambodia-Japan Friendship Bridge in Phnom Penh and the Kizona Bridge in Kampong Cham province.
